At
our Bed & Breakfast we aim to make your stay special.
We will encourage you to share our British food, customs and
humor over a cup of tea or coffee by our large log fire in
the Great room in winter or on our huge wrap around deck with
the “Best View in Brown County”.
Continental or home-cooked breakfasts
are available in our attractive dining room and country kitchen
before your active day, and you will find many wonderful places
to eat out in Nashville and the surrounding towns. Also available
for guests are complimentary coffee and tea making facilities,
and a fridge stocked with milk, bottled water and snacks.
The
nearby town of Nashville, in the gently rolling hills of Brown
County, offers a variety of artists studios and galleries,
plus craft, specialty, gift and antique shops. You'll also
find theaters, specialty food shops, wineries, restaurants,
wedding chapels and much more.
Outdoor
recreation opportunities abound near Blue
Haze Lodge. Canoeing, boating, hiking, horseback riding,
climbing, paintball, orienteering and more are just a short
drive away. Brown County State Park offers multiple use trails,
a swimming pool, Nature Center, shelter houses, fishing lakes
and more among the woods of Brown County. Yellowwood State
Forest has trails, a lake, fishing and boat rental. Lake Monroe
offers 10,750 acres of watersports fun and more.
Return
to your comfortable, spacious bedroom with its magnificent
views and private bathroom. Soak in your spa bath for two.
Relax in our pine Great room, with its Brown County log fireplace,
and borrow one of our many books or magazines. Sway in the
hammock or swinging chair and breathe in the clean country
air on our enormous flower-covered deck. Watch our horses
peacefully graze below in our lush green pastures by the old
farmhouse and big red barn. Cuddle up with a cat or chat to
the dogs!

the glorious sunsets, rising moon and clear starry skies.
See the famous “Ol' Blue Haze” mists after a storm
or at dawn. Hear the whippoorwill, owls, coyotes, frogs and
cicadas sing their chorus. Come and enjoy, and escape the
world for a day or two!
We welcome active visitors looking to take advantage of the
many local outdoor facilities in the area, as well as families,
friends, travelers, those on honeymoon or a romantic break,
or anyone who would just like to escape to a glorious country
retreat away from everything but peace! Children age 8 and
older are welcome. Sorry NO PETS and NO SMOKING.
Please
note we do not currently have televisions, computers or telephones
for guest use (except in an emergency), and your cell phone
reception is likely to be erratic, so leave them and your
worries behind and enjoy the solitude. You are here to relax
and make your own entertainment!
Located about 14 miles south of Nashville, Indiana, Blue
Haze Lodge is convenient to I-65 and the airports of
Columbus (IN), Louisville (KY), and Indianapolis (IN), home
of the Indy 500 and the NASCAR 400.
